Tech Aid for Rural Development (TARD Ghana), a local nonprofit non-governmental organization in the upper west region on Saturday, September 6, 2021 organized a free satellite installation training for over fifty selected youth in the Wa-west district of the upper west region.
The program which targeted serious but jobless youth in rural areas attracted over fifty young men and women from different communities in the district to its assembly hall in Wechau the district capital. Participants were taken through both theory and hands-on practice on satellites and satellite installations as well as basic branding and marketing techniques.
Beneficiaries speaking to ghgoonline.com after the workshop expressed their satisfaction and appreciation to TARD Ghana for such a laudable initiative. They also promised to make judicious use of their new skills set while pleading and urging cooperate organizations and the general public to help push TARD Ghana’s agenda.
Tech Aid for Rural Development is a young NGO with a mission to build up women and youths from various fields of life by empowering them through ICT for research, entrepreneurial development, competitive advantages and wealth creation.
TARD Ghana seeks to advance development at the rural level through digital literacy, website design and development, cyber bullying, etc. Its programs seeks to educate, empower the youth especially girls & incorporate technology to boost agriculture.
